Louder is an ongoing body of work exploring presence, tension and the quiet accumulation of identity through sculptural paper forms. Each work is constructed by hand from hundreds of individually torn paper layers. Every decision influences the next, making the process irreversible. The work cannot be edited backwards. It can only move forward. Every layer, every edge and every decision remains visible, becoming part of the finished work. The process is never hidden. It resists the instinct to hide the very things that shaped it.

As light shifts throughout the day, the work changes with it. Shadow becomes another material, revealing new depth, rhythm and perspective over time.

Nothing is erased because nothing needs to be. Maybe that’s true of us too. We’re shaped by every experience, every decision, every shift and every version of ourselves that came before. Like the work itself, we are an accumulation of every layer that made us. Nothing needs to be erased. It all becomes part of who we are. Louder isn’t about making more noise. It’s what happens when you stop erasing parts of yourself.
